Make your own greeting cards and take a little time for yourself
Book your spotCHF 95 · Saturday, 3 October 2026 · max. 8 spots · in DE / EN / ES
Outside, the leaves are turning and the days are slowing down. Inside, at a big table in the Adaya Atelier, there's paper in warm autumn tones, colours, scissors… and two hours that are just for you. You'll make your own cards by hand, in a small group, unhurried, with the smell of coffee in the air. A little time to breathe, make something with your hands and feel right at home.

For two hours, you can forget the emails, the errands, the laundry and the endless to-do list. You don't need talent or experience: it's all about getting into that flow where time feels different, and rediscovering the simple joy of playing with paper, colour and scissors, just because you feel like it. Cristina Salan and Guacimara Acuña guide you, share ideas and give you room to find your own style.
We'll be working with a very special collection: Pumpkins & Plaid by Simple Stories. It launched just a few weeks ago in the US and, for now, very few shops in Europe even have it. We ordered it early so you'll get to work with fresh, high-quality materials that are still hard to find in Europe.
It's autumn through and through: warm reds, oranges, browns and greens that capture the magic of the season. It includes whole landscapes, the classic plaid patterns and loads of autumn motifs: deer, owls, trees, leaves, acorns, foxes and much more. The double-sided design paper and the sticker sheet each measure 12 x 12 inches (about 30.5 x 30.5 cm).
And best of all: you don't bring or buy a thing. We've already prepared everything for you, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy.

The collection is by Amber Crowell, founder and creative director of Simple Stories. What she and her husband Kevin started in 2002 as a small family project is today one of the leading names in the paper-craft world. So you'll be creating with material from a true expert: thoughtfully designed, beautifully made and full of detail.
Small group, just 8 spots
At the end you take home cards made by you: a way to reach across the distance to the people who are part of your life and who, one way or another, can't be with you as much as you'd like.
For anyone who enjoys making things, whether you're completely new to card making or already have some experience. The group is deliberately small (max. 8 people), so there's time and calm for everyone.
We start together, try a few simple techniques and then you work at your own pace. By the end you'll be holding several finished cards in your hands.
It's all ready for you: design paper and coloured cardstock, double-sided tape, glue, 3D foam pads, scissors and a paper trimmer. And to make it a really good time: coffee, juice and a little something to nibble, plus your artist postcard as a gift. Just bring yourself.

Cristina has spent more than 20 years in the world of handmade cards: first as an enthusiastic participant and, for a long time now, as a teacher too. For over two decades she's been sending cards to every corner of the world (some years more than 300). Since 2020 she's been part of the #unyayounapostal project, bringing warm words and encouragement by post to older people in care homes. On Instagram (@cris_salan) she shares her own creations, which travel half the world, and shares and supports the work of other paper artists. With her you don't just learn technique: you leave wanting to keep creating at home.
