All materials included. Every kit is a surprise.

What you take home

  • 4 to 6 finished Christmas cards with envelopes, ready to send.
  • Your surprise kit: papers, washi tape, die cuts, stickers and embellishments from a collection you only discover at the table. There's enough for more cards at home.
  • The step-by-step guide, Christmas edition: the three-part formula and five steps, so the cards you make at home, on your own, are cards everyone will love to receive.
  • Techniques for the whole year: frame, background, focal point and details. They work for birthdays, thank-you cards and everything after Christmas too.
  • Two hours just for you, in the middle of Advent: at the big table, with music, good conversation and a cup of tea or hot chocolate, with homemade biscuits or something sweet.

The collections

Which style is yours?

Cristina Salan made every card in these photos, and she puts the kits together from exactly these collections. Which one you get is a surprise.

Every card has several layers and real depth. You won't make a generic card, but a one-of-a-kind one. Whoever receives it will notice straight away that it didn't come from a shop.

With the extras, you turn any kit into your own style.

Made by hand

So your cards this Christmas are truly one of a kind

Cristina Salan has been making cards for more than 20 years. She started young, with scrapbooking. Thousands of them have travelled the world, in many languages. At the table, we show you how to make yours.

Here's what people say when they receive one of our cards:

“A letter came for you from your friend in Switzerland, the one who always sends you those lovely handmade cards.”

Gemma's mother, on the phone to her daughter (Spain)

“It isn't Christmas until your cards arrive.”

Ruth, Germany

“But it's a 3D card! Did you really make it yourself?”

Tessa, Netherlands

“If I hadn't seen you make them, I'd say you buy them ready-made. Actually, they're better than the ones you'd buy in a shop.”

Pedro, Switzerland

“I use them as bookmarks over Christmas. I love having them with me. Everyone asks where they can get one, and I always say: a friend makes them by hand and sends them to me.”

Anne Marie, France

“Every year you surprise me with a card that's even lovelier than the last.”

Birgit, Austria

“I keep your cards and put them out with the Christmas decorations every year, because they look like something out of a Christmas story.”

Ale, USA

“It's such a lovely gift to receive a handmade card made while thinking of me. I feel lucky.”

Sibylle, Italy

An Adaya Atelier workshop kit on green paper: a card with the logo, the step-by-step guide, a finished card, a ribbon and a Grittibänz bread figure

A look at the table

What a kit looks like

Everyone gets their own kit: papers, extras and the step-by-step guide. This photo is from the autumn card workshop on 31 October 2026.

In Advent, the table is full of Christmas collections. Which one you get is a surprise.

Why this workshop is different

We saw it again at the autumn workshop: whoever hesitates over the first card has no doubts left by the third. You don't need to be creative or make anything perfect. You just need to not be afraid of mistakes.

Only 5 places

One big table, five places. There's time for every person and every question.

Step by step

A card isn't a matter of talent. With the three-part formula, it works the first time.

Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning

Saturdays from 4 to 6 pm, Sundays from 11 am to 1 pm. Pick the date that fits your Advent.

In good time for Christmas

Your cards are done before the Christmas rush begins. All that's left is to write them and post them.

Four dates in Advent

Choose your date

Saturdays from 4 to 6 pm, Sundays from 11 am to 1 pm. Each date has a maximum of 5 places.

Click on a date, choose the number of places and pay securely online, TWINT included. You'll get a confirmation by email. You can also book for two or three.

How the two hours go

1Arrive. You unpack your surprise kit and get to know the materials.
2The first card. We go through the formula together: frame, background, focal point, details.
3Free creating. With music, washi tape, die cuts and everything on the table.
4To finish. Envelopes, final touches and a look at all your cards.

If you don't finish, you take your kit and the guide home and carry on there.

Who is the workshop for?

For anyone who likes working with their hands, whether it's your first time or you've done it before. You don't need to draw or be creative.

Come on your own, with a friend or as a group.

What your cards are perfect for

  • Christmas greetings for family and friends
  • everyone who lives far away
  • a card to go with a present
  • a thank-you for neighbours, colleagues or your child's teacher
  • a small stock for the new year
